I hereby pledge to provide positive support, care and encouragement for my child participating in all DYC sports by adhering to this Code of Ethics. I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches and officials at every game, practice or other DYC event. I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my child ahead of any personal desire to win. I will provide support for coaches and officials working with my child to provide a positive, enjoyable experience for all. I will refrain from the use of all drugs and alcohol at all DYC sports events. I will remember that all games are for the children and not for the adults. I will do my very best to make DYC sports fun for my child. I will instruct my child to treat all other players, coaches, fans and officials with respect. I will promise to help my child enjoy the DYC sports experience within my personal constraints by assisting with coaching or directing, being a respectful fan, or whatever I am capable of doing.
